Frontline and Direct Service Workers Training and Support

With input from frontline youth workers, employers and youth service recipients, FLW will develop a training certification program and delivery model for frontline and direct service workers. The certification will build capacity of these workers – many of whom are racialized youth themselves – to engage and serve youth by developing best practices and providing a holistic understanding of the individual needs of young people.

Ultimately, the FLW initiative will result in greater consistency in services from frontline workers. Through the certification, they will gain a common understanding of their roles and will be equipped with the skills, supports and knowledge to best serve youth in the 13 priority neighbourhoods.
